Former Ferrari, McLaren and Renault Formula 1 driver Patrick Tambay died at the age of 73.
The Frenchman, who won a pair of Grands Prix during a lengthy Formula 1 career, had been struggling with Parkinson’s disease in recent years.
Tambay won a pair of Can-Am championships before turning his efforts to Formula 1 full time in 1981 when he drove for Theodore. The following season, he went to Ferrari to replace Gilles Villeneuve.
He scored his first Formula 1 victory for Ferrari at the German Grand Prix. The following season, he won the San Marino Grand Prix.
Tambay also raced in Formula 1 with Renault and Team Haas.
