FAIRBURY, Ill. –Â Daison Pursley, a NOS Energy Drink USAC National Midget Series Rookie of the Year contender, won the AME Electrical Saturday Night Lightning FALS Invitational at the virtual Fairbury American Legion Speedway.
Pursley, who drives the Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports No. 9 on the USAC midget trail, took the $2,020 victory on the quarter-mile dirt oval over Anton Hernandez.
Aiden Purdue, Jason McDougal and Logan Seavey rounded out the top-five.
Hernandez pocketed $1,000 for his second-place finish courtesy of Rex Reinbold, while Purdue took $500 for third from Hunter Percent’s Hammer Head Garage.
Meanwhile, Dennis Gile was awarded hard charger honors courtesy of Todd Underwood from Reinbold-Underwood Motorsports, for his charge from 19th starting spot to sixth at the checkered flag.
Sam Johnson picked up the Sharp Advantage Safety Products $100 Passing Master bonus as the driver who passed the most cars throughout the night of racing on Saturday night.
Additionally, Sharp presented $100 off toward a custom fitted seat insert to Robert Dalby, who finished 24th.
