Jimmy grinned at Lou. “So, you gonna send me that contract?”
“Hey, what‘s that song they‘re playing on the radio,” Lou said quickly. “How‘s it go? ‘Don‘t call us…we‘ll call you!‘”
They laughed, and Lou continued. “Like I said…you‘re on the right radar screens, Jimmy. Give me a week or two. I‘ll know more then.”
Jimmy remembered what Lou told him last night: “Pretend like you‘re still poor for the first couple of years.” Jimmy knew how to do that. He had plenty of practice.
