PENSACOLA, Fla. – Yesterday’s hour long practice went well. We worked on getting the car to have more bite off the corners. We were also able to get it rolling through the center how I like it.

After practice the KBM crew made a few more final adjustments that I feel will play out very positive come race time.

The weather yesterday was extremely cold and this morning it’s about 50 degrees out. I think the race track is going to be pretty fast. I watched the crate cars all day yesterday to get an idea of how today’s race might play out and it looked like the track maintained its grip. I’m thinking that will transfer over today.

I honestly just can’t wait to get the race started. I don’t get nervous before a race, just excited. Hopefully we have a clean start and some solid pit stops that put us in position at the end.

The Snowball Derby will be held later today at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Fla. It is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. CST. Chase Elliott and Bubba Pollard will start from the front row. Jones, seeking his second-straight Derby victory, will start 12th.
