CORONA, Calif. — Lucas Oil announced its 2014 regional schedules, adding a new entity to the fast growing family of regional short-course racing series — the Lucas Oil Off Road Regional Series-Reno.
With an unprecedented growth rate of more than 300 percent since its inception, the family friendly group of regional series all working under the Lucas Oil umbrella has been growing by leaps and bounds. Racers and teams use this as an opportunity not only to hone their skills for the big show at the nationally recognized Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series events, but also as a chance to participate in an affordable, relaxed and close to home day of friendly competition.
“Lucas Oil now offers a regional series in four states, with drivers from each area often traveling to meet up with each other at our highly-popular ‘Regional Shootout’ events. The growth of these series has been better than we ever predicted, and although we originally designed this as a feeder series to our national Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, we also have a great following of local racers who aren’t interested in being professionals and just want to bring their vehicles and families out, mix it up with the pros who come out for extra practice, have a great time and put on a good show. We offer some great competition and it really has evolved into something for everyone,” stated series director Lee Perfect.
