With Momentum In Hand, Williams Reveals Main Partners

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Josh Williams heads into Daytona Int’l Speedway this weekend riding the momentum of a career-best season and hoping to make a splash in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Fresh off a year that featured six top-10 finishes, including his career-best result of sixth at Kansas Speedway in October, Williams is looking to continue his year-over-year progression and finally crack the Xfinity Series playoffs.

Williams is back with DGM Racing for the full season, continuing to work closely with team owners Mario and Michelle Gosselin on improvement from within the organization, and he’s ready for the challenge of a new year.

“Working with Mario, Michelle and everyone at DGM Racing has been a great experience over the years,” said Williams. “Mario and I have known each other a long time, and I learned a lot from him back then and I’m continuing to learn a lot from him now. We’ve kept growing as a team and are constantly improving, which is setting us up for 2021 as we build off our successes from last year.”

Known for his consistency and his capabilities to improve any program he is affiliated with, whether behind the wheel or turning wrenches underneath a race car, Williams also excels off the track.

Being recognized with the Third Quarter NMPA Pocono Spirit Award last fall was a crowning moment for Williams and his team, as they fought through a complete rebuild of Williams’ annual children’s hospital tour into a digital format during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year’s Daytona paint scheme will represent a “Stronger Together” mentality, showcasing all of Williams’ supporting partners over the years.

Announced last week, Alloy Employer Services will return with an increased program and presence with DGM Racing, backing the team alongside fellow anchor partners Star Tron, Star Brite, Sleep Well Inc. and General Formulations, with more sponsors to be announced at a later date.

In a sport driven by company backing, Williams continues to attract brands who seem to have a long-term interest in his NASCAR career.

It’s that fact that leaves Williams full of gratitude as he prepares to embark on another Xfinity Series campaign.

“Our partners are so much more than sponsors to us. Some of these brands have been with me the whole way, and some are joining as we go, but at the end of the day they all become friends and part of our racing family,” Williams noted. “Everyone works together, not only for their individual partnerships, but with our other partners. They’re always trying to figure out how to continue to grow together.”

DGM Racing will field four cars in this weekend’s season opener at Daytona, including team owner Mario Gosselin, who has to qualify into the race on time.

Asked about the opportunity to drive side-by-side with his boss, Williams offered the racer’s response.

“I told him I would turn him for the win, and Mario said he would do the same thing,” Williams laughed.

Williams will pilot the No. 92 Chevrolet Camaro in the Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner. 300 on Saturday afternoon at Daytona Int’l Speedway as he chases a breakthrough victory in Xfinity Series competition.

Coverage of the event begins at 5 p.m. ET, live on FS1, the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
