Jeffrey Earnhardt Lands JD Motorsports Xfinity Ride

GAFFNEY, S.C. – Jeffrey Earnhardt will return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season with JD Motorsports with Gary Keller for 12 events, with the possibility of more pending sponsorship.

Earnhardt, the grandson of NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt, last raced for the team during the 2014 season.

While previously racing for JD Motorsports, Earnhardt was able to capture seven top-20 finishes, placing 18th in the final drivers’ points standings.

Last year Earnhardt drove for Joe Gibbs Racing, competing in seven NASCAR Xfinity Series events. He earned a career-best finish of third at Charlotte Motor Speedway last May.

“I am really thankful to Johnny Davis and the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller team for having me onboard this season,” said Earnhardt. “These guys work hard every week and they’ve demonstrated the ability and desire to compete. I am looking forward to getting back on track this season.”

Earnhardt’s car number will be announced at a later date, along with sponsor information. He will make his first start for the team at Atlanta Motor Speedway on March 14.
