Gragson Back In JR Motorsports No. 9 For 2021

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – JR Motorsports confirmed Thursday afternoon that Noah Gragson will return to the seat of the organization’s No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro for the 2021 season.

The team co-owned by Kelley Earnhardt Miller and 2021 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Dale Earnhardt Jr. utilized a clever video on Twitter to make the announcement, playing off a post that Gragson made one day earlier involving a mysterious pen emoji.

Gragson, 22, is in the midst of his second full NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign with JR Motorsports.

He picked up his first career victory at Daytona (Fla.) Int’l Speedway in February and currently ranks third in points with two wins, 10 top fives and 15 top-10 finishes in 21 races.

The Las Vegas, Nev., native has led 508 laps so far this season and has regularly contended for wins since joining JRM in 2019. He made the playoffs in his rookie season and will be a part of the 12-driver postseason field again this fall.

Gragson previously competed for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series in 2017-18 prior to advancing into the Xfinity Series.
