MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Dale Earnhardt Jr. will have a new sponsor for his fourth and final NASCAR Nationwide Series start of the year.
Earnhardt, NASCAR’s 11-time most popular driver, and his JR Motorsports team announced a new partnership with eBay on Wednesday.
The online auction company will sponsor Earnhardt’s No. 88 eBay Chevrolet in the Nationwide Series race at Michigan Int’l Speedway on June 14.
“We believe fans will relate to the excitement Dale Jr. feels toward the sport on and off the track,” said Bryan Murphy, head of eBay Motors. “We are looking forward to helping auto enthusiasts connect with the things they need and love on eBay the same way Dale Jr. does.”
The new partnership also places the two-time Daytona 500 champion’s foundation, The Dale Jr. Foundation, in charitable initiatives with eBay, including the eBay Garage for Good program running May 28-June 30.
“As most people are aware, I’ve been obsessed with eBay for the past few years because I do a lot of shopping for vintage racing stuff,” Earnhardt Jr. said.
“It’s a great place to find all the things you need and love.”
