HAMPTON, Ga. – Much like its Xfinity counterpart, NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series qualifying was scrapped due to continuing dampness from a low-hanging mist Saturday morning at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

As such, the field for the Ultimate Tailgating 200 will be set by the NASCAR Rule Book, putting Austin Hill and Harrison Burton on the front row for the second Truck Series race of the season.

The top 25 starting positions were set based on the previous year’s owner points, with defending championship team Hattori Racing Enterprises and Kyle Busch Motorsports leading the pack. The 26th and 27th grid spots awarded to the two fastest teams from Friday practice not already in the show.

Those two positions on speed went to the Henderson Motorsports No. 75 of Parker Kligerman and the DGR-Crosley No. 17 of Anthony Alfredo.

Positions 28-32 receive precedence based on the current year’s owner points, with a random draw breaking any ties to determine the truck or trucks that miss the field.

With Norm Benning, Korbin Forrister and B.J. McLeod all having no owner points from the current season to fall back on, McLeod was the one truck sent home by virtue of the random draw.
