MONTREAL – IZOD IndyCar Series competitor Alex Tagliani will partner with NASCAR Canadian Tire Series champion D.J. Kennington to race during the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivieres Aug. 9-11.
Tagliani’s No. 28 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series entry fielded by DJK Racing will proudly carry the logos of local Quebec companies, GoJit a division of Dicom Express, EPIPEN and Sennheiser.
“We are very excited about the partnership with DJK Racing and the opportunity to be competitive at this year’s GP3R with the support of our sponsors,” Tagliani said. “I’m really working to increase awareness of food allergies such as mine and to aid in prevention of Anaphylactic reactions. There is an exciting partnership and contest still to be announced for the fans on May 1st, but all this will allow me to race again in front of my home-town fans.
“As for the partnership with DJK Racing, I respect D.J. as a racer and I’m really looking forward to driving for and with him,” Tagliani added.
“I’m really pleased to partner with Alex on this program,” Kennington said. “He’s a passionate and intense racer and I’m excited to be working together.”
Tagliani has 15 career NASCAR Canadian Tire Series starts, including one victory at the Edmonton City Centre Airport in 2008.
