MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Brad Keselowski Racing announced today that it has secured the driving services of Zak Hausler, a 17 year-old driver from Tomball, Texas.
Hausler will compete in up to 20 super-late-model races in 2013 for BKR in addition to six NASCAR K&N Pro Series East events. Hausler will debut in a BKR Super Late Model at Speedfest in Cordele, Ga., on Jan. 27. The team is targeting their first K&N Series start at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Fla., on April 13.
Hausler’s goal is to expand to the entire K&N Pro Series East schedule in 2014 targeting the Rookie of the Year award as well as the coveted NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Championship for BKR.
Hausler was the National Points Champion in the Legends Pro Division in 2010 and was the NASCAR Whelen All-American Texas Champion and Rookie of the Year in 2011. Haulser also won track championships at Thunderhill Speedway in Kyle, Texas, as well as Houston Motorsports Park in Houston, Texas.
“It has been my dream since I was six years old to race stock cars in a regional NASCAR sanctioned series. The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East is a fantastic and exciting starting point. I am so happy to be with such a talented group of people at BKR,” said Hausler.
“The mission of Brad Keselowski Racing is to give back to the sport by providing opportunities to talented development drivers. Zak Hausler is a talented young man, and we are excited to have him driving for BKR on this journey up the NASCAR ladder,” said Keselowski.
