CONCORD, N.C. – The Clorox Company announced today they are partnering with Earnhardt Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates and JTG Daugherty Racing to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of their iconic brand at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway May 3-5.
The No. 42 Chevrolet SS of Juan Pablo Montoya will bear the 100th Anniversary paint scheme while the No. 47 Toyota Camry of Bobby Labonte will sport a brown retro look, reminiscent of one of Clorox’s first bottles of bleach.
The on-track relationship between Clorox and both race teams extends over a decade. Clorox became a partner of Chip Ganassi Racing Teams in 1997 and has been a fixture in auto racing ever since. JTG Daugherty Racing and Clorox are celebrating their 16th anniversary this year as they have fielded cars in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series together.
“The Clorox Company is honored to be a part of the NASCAR community, and we are thrilled to mark our 100th anniversary with two Clorox-themed cars on the Talladega track,” said Tim Smith, vice president of The Clorox Company. “With both cars in the race, we can celebrate our centennial and pay tribute to our rich heritage.”
