BROOKLYN, Mich. — In pursuit of his first NASCAR Xfinity Series victory, Sheldon Creed scored the pole for Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Michigan Int’l Speedway. He scored the third pole of his career and his second of the season with a time of _ around the two-mile oval.
Riley Herbst, fresh off his victory at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, will start second. Craftsman Truck Series regular Taylor Gray will start third with Herbst’s teammate, Cole Custer, and Chandler Smith rounding out the top five. Brandon Jones, Ryan Sieg, Carson Kvapil, Jesse Love and John Hunter Nemechek complete the top 10.
Of note, A.J. Allmendinger – who will return to the Cup Series in 2025 – will start 13th with Sammy Smith starting next to him in 14th. Austin Hill rolls off 20th, Parker Kligerman 22nd and Shane van Gisbergen 23rd.
Morgen Baird was the only car that did not qualify.
