During NASCAR Xfinity Series qualifying, Kyle Larson planted the No. 17 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet in pole position for Saturday’s race at Circuit of the Americas.
The Cup Series driver recorded a 132.076-second lap (92.946 mph) at the 3.41-mile road course.
Former Supercars star Shane van Gisbergen, who is also racing this weekend’s Cup Series race, will start alongside Larson on the front row of the Focused Health 250 in his No. 97 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet. The New Zealander set a 132.499-second lap (92.650 mph) during Friday’s qualifying session.
Ty Gibbs posted the third fastest speed in the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.
Chandler Smith and A.J. Allmendinger completed the top five. Sage Karam, Sheldon Creed, Cole Custer, Daniel Hemric and Sam Mayer will also start inside the top 10 during Saturday’s race.
