WELCOME, N.C. – Kaulig Racing has solidified its crew chief lineup with Matt Swiderski, Trent Owens, Jason Trinchere, Alex Yontz and Bruce Schlicker for the new season ahead.
Swiderski will work in the NASCAR Cup Series with the No. 16 Camaro ZL1 team shared by drivers A.J. Allmendinger, Daniel Hemric and Noah Gragson.
Swiderski started his role as crew chief at Kaulig Racing for the team’s part-time run in last year’s Cup Series. In just his seventh start as crew chief, Swiderski won the Verizon 200 at The Brickyard at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course with Allmendinger. The new season will mark Swiderski’s first full season as crew chief in NASCAR’s top series.
Owens, meanwhile, will serve the team’s second Cup Series entry, the No. 31 Camaro ZL1 driven by Justin Haley.
With a resumé that spans across all three of NASCAR’s top series, Owens most recently held the title of crew chief for Ryan Preece at JTG Daugherty Racing. During his tenure as a crew chief in the Cup Series, Owens has made 287 starts, earning one win, eight top-fives and 31 top-10 finishes.
As for Trinchere, he’ll work in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with the No. 10 Chevrolet driven by Landon Cassill.
Trinchere began his role as crew chief for Allmendinger and the No. 16 Chevrolet during last years Xfinity season. Together, the pair earned five wins, including the regular season championship.
Yontz will also work in the Xfinity Series, with the No. 11 Chevrolet team and reigning series champion Daniel Hemric. Since beginning the role of crew chief for the No. 11 Chevrolet, Yontz recorded four wins with Haley.
Schlicker rounds out the Xfinity Series lineup with the No. 16 Chevrolet team driven by Allmendinger.
Schlicker is entering his third year at Kaulig Racing. During his first two seasons, Schlicker held the title of crew chief for the No. 10 Chevrolet with drivers Ross Chastain and Jeb Burton.
He accrued one win last season with Burton.
