NASCAR Xfinity Series rookie Jesse Love was fastest in qualifying on Friday night at Texas Motor Speedway, resulting in his third pole award of the season.
The 19-year-old set a 29.093-second lap time (185.612 mph) in his No. 2 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet and will start inside the front row during Andy’s Frozen Custard 300, which starts at 1:30 p.m. (ET) on Saturday.
Love will be joined by Stewart-Haas Racing’s Cole Custer, who qualified second with a 29.115-second lap time (185.471 mph). TRICON Garage’s Taylor Gray and Joe Gibbs Racing’s Chandler Smith will start on the second row.
Riley Herbst, Justin Allgaier, Ryan Truex, A.J. Allmendinger, Sammy Smith and Sam Mayer completed the top 10.
