Riley Herbst will return to the driver’s seat of the No. 98 Stewart-Haas Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series next year.
The team announced the contract extension via X, formerly known as Twitter, on Thursday.
Herbst has earned six top fives and 13 top 10s this season with a best finish of second at during the Tennessee Lottery 250 at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway on June 24. He did not make the playoffs this year.Â
“I’m excited to continue my relationship with Stewart-Haas Racing,” Herbst noted in a social media post.

Next year will mark the 24-year-old’s fifth full-time season in the Xfinity Series.
He has yet to win a race.Â
