BROOKLYN, Mich. – Following his victory on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course last Saturday, Austin Cindric will lead the NASCAR Xfinity Series field to the green flag to start the New Holland 250 Saturday afternoon at Michigan Int’l Speedway.
The Team Penske driver earned the pole by virtue of having the highest metric score following last Sunday’s race on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course of the cars entered in Saturday’s race in Michigan.
Lap speed is weighted at 15 percent, previous race finish at 25 percent for the driver and owner results and owner points position at 35 percent to calculate the final metric score.
A.J. Allmendinger, the winner of last Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race, will start second alongside Cindric Saturday. Justin Haley will start third, followed by Noah Gragson and Justin Allgaier.
The remainder of the top-10 includes Harrison Burton, Daniel Hemric, Riley Herbst, Myatt Snider and Ty Gibbs.
