Chastain Returning To DGM For Limited Xfinity Series Slate

LAKE WALES, Fla. — For the third year in a row, Ross Chastain and DGM Racing are joining forces for five NASCAR Xfinity Series races.

The NASCAR Cup Series driver will make his season debut behind the wheel of DGM Racing’s No. 92 entry at Dover Motor Speedway on April 27.

With support from the Delaware Office of Highway Safety (DOHS), Chastain’s Chevrolet will carry the “Drive Sober Arrive Alive” messaging to encourage safe driving habits. Chastain’s dedication to promoting safe driving goes beyond his racing.

By combining his passion for speed with his family’s legacy in the watermelon industry, Chastain has created the “Protect Your Melon” and “Use Your Melon” programs to encourage drivers to make smart decisions on the road.

Through these creative campaigns, the eighth-generation watermelon farmer turned professional racer is not only raising awareness about highway safety, but also highlighting the significance of protecting oneself and others while behind the wheel.

“Partnering with DGM Racing to promote safe driving habits on and off the track is something very meaningful that I look forward to each year,” Chastain states. “I’ve spent most of my career racing for small teams and being able to contribute to DGM Racing’s continued growth is something I take pride in each time I strap in.”

Chastain, a Florida native, is pleased to partner with NASCAR’s only full-time team based out of Florida, the family-owned DGM Racing. Chastain has tied the team’s best finish with two fourth-place finishes in only nine starts in a DGM Racing Chevrolet. Starting second in their first race together, Chastain also holds the team’s best qualifying position to date.

“It’s always a pleasure to welcome Ross back to the team and build on our momentum from years past,” said team owner Mario Gosselin. “We’re thankful for the partnership with Chevrolet and to Trackhouse Racing for allowing him to compete with us year after year.”

An adept racer with over 200 Xfinity Series starts, Chastain has earned seven top 15s and 10 top 20s in only 12 Xfinity Series starts at the one-mile track in Dover, Delaware. In his most recent races at Dover Motor Speedway, Chastain has claimed a third and second-place finish in the last two Cup Series races.
