Justin Allgaier whipped out a 30.646-second lap (176.206 mph) during NASCAR Xfinity Series qualifying at Kansas Speedway on Saturday morning, putting him on pole position for the Kansas Lottery 300.
It is Allgaier’s ninth career pole at Kansas Speedway.
The JR Motorsports No. 7 Chevrolet will be joined on the front row by Joe Gibbs Racing’s Sammy Smith, who logged a 30.796-second lap (175.347 mph) around the 1.5-mile, tri-oval track.
Stewart-Haas Racing’s Cole Custer was third, with a 30.862-second lap (174.972 mph), while JR Motorsports’ Brandon Jones was fourth after recording a 30.879-second lap (174.876 mph) in his No. 9 Chevrolet.
Kaulig Racing’s Daniel Hemric qualified fifth.
Josh Berry, John Hunter Nemechek, Riley Herbst, Austin Hill and Brett Moffitt completed the top 10.
The full Xfinity Series field will take the green at 3 p.m. (ET) for the final race of the regular season.
