DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The start of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series season will be delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The NASCAR Pinty’s Series season was originally scheduled to begin on May 23 at Sunset Speedway in Innisfil, Ontario and run until Sept. 25 at Jukasa Motor Speedway in Hagrsville, Ontario.
In a statement released by series officials, NASCAR’s goal is to run a full championship season with a minimum of 10 races, potentially starting in August.
“We continue to work closely with local, provincial and federal officials to ensure the safety of all involved. An updated schedule will be released when finalized,” the statement read.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NASCAR Pinty’s Series did not contest a full schedule of events last season. Instead, the series held a six-race mini series known as Pinty’s FanCave Challenge.
