Former Driver “Lil Bud” Moore, 75

CHARLESTON, S.C. — Former NASCAR driver, promoter and racing enthusiast Paul “Bud” Moore died Aug. 1. He was 75 years old.

Not to be confused with longtime team owner Bud Moore, “Lil Bud” Moore was a frequent NASCAR competitor during the 1960s and 1970s.

Moore’s final race was the 1973 Southern 500 at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway.

After his career in racing, Moore was a tireless supporter of racing and worked in various roles, including promotions and collectibles.
