It was a year of personal growth for Bubba Wallace, who made considerable strides in his NASCAR Cup Series career during 2023.
Though he didn’t win a race, the No. 23 Toyota driver matched his career-best record of top fives (5) and top 10s (10) in a single season.
The 29-year-old also made it further in the playoffs than he ever had before, advancing through to the Round of 12 before being eliminated at the Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway ROVAL in October.
Wallace led 285 laps during his sixth full-time Cup Series campaign.
“We were capable of doing this last year. We have the right people, just going to have to put it all together. It has been a lot of work to get to this point, for sure. It’s super cool to see the results pay off for everybody on this team,” Wallace said prior to Talladega.
