Pocono Reveals Details For 2020 Doubleheader

LONG POND, Pa. – Officials from Pocono Raceway and NASCAR have revealed several details for the planned 2020 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series doubleheader.

The Sunday, June 28 portion of the doubleheader will be 350 miles and 140 laps. The first portion of the doubleheader on Saturday, June 27 will likely be the same length, but officials indicated further conversations need to take place before that is made officials.

Qualifying for the first race of the weekend will take place on Friday, June 26. However, the field for the second race will be set by inverting the lead lap finishers from the first race. Any lap down cars from Saturday’s race will start behind those cars who finished on the lead lap.

The weekend is also scheduled to include the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The Xfinity Series race will take place on June 28, while the Truck Series race will happen on June 27.
