Kenseth took over driving duties of the No. 42 Chevrolet earlier this year after the team parted ways with Kyle Larson following his use of a racial slur during an iRacing live stream.
Since taking over driving duties of the No. 42, Kenseth has earned one top-five and two top-10 finishes. His best finish this year is a runner-up result in the Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
