The son of Menard’s founder and owner John Menard, Paul Menard has been a fixture in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series for more than a decade. His only victory at the top level of NASCAR came on one of the sport’s biggest stages — Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

During the 2011 Brickyard 400 Menard, who was driving for Richard Childress, gambled on fuel mileage in an effort to beat Jeff Gordon to the checkered flag. The gamble worked and Menard managed edged Gordon by .725 seconds to earn his only Cup Series triumph.
