Ned Jarrett, Conover, N.C. — Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion (1961, ’65) and two-time NASCAR Sportsman division champion (1957-’58).

Hershel McGriff, Bridal Veil, Ore. — 1986 NASCAR West Series champion. Won 34 West Series races.

Cotton Owens, Spartanburg, S.C. — An early star of the NASCAR Modified division, winning more than 200 races.

Marvin Panch, Oakland, Calif. — Won 17 Cup Series races, including the 1961 Daytona 500.

Benny Parsons, Wilkesboro, N.C. — 1973 NASCAR Cup Series champion. Won 21 Cup Series races, including the 1975 Daytona 500.

David Pearson, Spartanburg, S.C. — Three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion (1966, ’68-’69). Won 105 Cup Series races and earned 113 poles.

Lee Petty, Level Cross, N.C. — Three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion (1954, ’58-’59). Topped the inaugural Daytona 500 in 1959.

Tim Richmond, Ashland, Ohio — Won 13 Cup Series races, including the 1986 Southern 500.

Fireball Roberts, Apopka, Fla. — The 1962 Daytona 500 is among his 33 NASCAR Cup Series victories.
