DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – NASCAR officials have announced one lug nut penalty following last weekend’s events at Bristol Motor Speedway.
The No. 20 Toyota Camry fielded by Joe Gibbs Racing had one lug nut during the post-race check on pit road. Erik Jones drove the car to a fifth-place finish in the Supermarket Heroes 500 on Sunday.
As a result, Jones’ crew chief Chris Gayle has been fined $10,000.
