William Byron will lead the NASCAR Cup Series field to the green flag for Sunday’s Dixie Vodka 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
The Hendrick Motorsports driver scored his first pole of the season with a fastest speed of 166.389 mph.
Behind Byron, Joe Gibbs Racing’s Christopher Bell will start second.
Playoff driver Chase Elliott clocked in third, with 23XI Racing’s John Hunter Nemechek, who is subbing for a suspended Bubba Wallace, in fourth.
Defending Cup Series champion Kyle Larson rounded out the top five in fifth.
Ross Chastain was the lowest playoff driver to qualify, with a 20th place effort in the No. 1 Trackhouse Racing Chevrolet.
