Blaney Foundation To Host Alzheimer’s Fundraiser

SALISBURY, N.C. — June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month and the Ryan Blaney Family Foundation is having a fundraiser on Saturday, June 15 at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Iowa.

Proceeds of the event will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association of Des Moines.

Dinner with the Champions will be hosted at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame with Ryan, Dave and Dale Blaney in attendance. For $100, attendees will be able to partake in a meet and greet with the Blaneys while receiving dinner, having access to the Hall of Fame, and watching the World of Outlaws sprint cars compete at Knoxville Raceway.

3 Champ Dinner PostThe Blaney Family has many ties to not only dirt racing, but to Knoxville and Iowa, as a whole. Ryan Blaney’s mother, Lisa, is an Iowa native, and Ryan’s father, Dave, won the Knoxville Nationals in 1997.

Ryan’s uncle, Dale, has competed in the Knoxville Nationals multiple times throughout his career, and his grandfather, Lou, ran fourth in the Knoxville Nationals in 1974.

The Ryan Blaney Family Foundation is a longtime supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association, having developed a connection with the organization after Lou’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis and passing in 2009. Since then, the Ryan Blaney Family Foundation has raised and donated more than $1 million to the Alzheimer’s Association to help fund research and resources, such as the 24/7 hotline.

The NASCAR Cup Series is competing at Iowa Speedway the same weekend, making it the perfect opportunity to catch multiple forms of racing at one time. To find out more about the event or purchase tickets, visit: https://iowa.cbo.io
