MADISON, Ill. – Austin Hill will start the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series playoffs by starting from the pole during Friday’s Toyota 200 at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway.
Hill, who won the most recent series race at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) Int’l, earned the pole by virtue of having the highest metric score following the race at Watkins Glen of the cars entered in Friday’s race at World Wide Technology Raceway.

Lap speed is weighted at 15 percent, previous race finish at 25 percent for the driver and owner results and owner points position at 35 percent to calculate the final metric score.
John Hunter Nemechek, who won the regular season Truck Series championship, will start second. Todd Gilliland, Sheldon Creed and Zane Smith will start third through fifth.Â
The remainder of the top-10 includes Carson Hocevar, Ben Rhodes, Christian Eckes, Stewart Friesen and Matt Crafton.
