Corey Heim will start from pole position during Friday night’s Buckle Up South Carolina 200 at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway.
The TRICON Garage driver turned a fast lap of 29.263 seconds (168.048 mph) around the 1.366-mile track, securing his first pole award of the season. Heim will be joined by last week’s winner Grant Enfinger on the front row. Enfinger was .059 seconds off Heim’s pace.
The two drivers were involved in a close battle for the lead during last week’s race at Kansas Speedway and with both on the front row, the stage is set for another duel. Both have scored a single victory this year and will be chasing a second on Friday night.
RevRacing’s Nick Sanchez qualified third.
McAnally-Hilgemann Racing teammates Christian Eckes and Jake Garcia completed the top five.
Stewart Friesen, Matt DiBenedetto, William Byron, Ty Majeski and Chase Purdy will start in the top 10 for the 147-lap race. The Truck Series field will take the green at 7:30 p.m. (ET).
