Rajah Caruth wheeled his No. 71 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet to the top of the timesheets during NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series qualifying at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Friday afternoon.
Caruth recorded a 30.501-second lap time (177.043 mph), which earned him pole position for Friday’s Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200. It is his first career pole award in the Truck Series.
McAnally-Hilgemann Racing’s Christian Eckes qualified second in his No. 19 Chevrolet. His best time was 30.502 seconds (177.038 mph). Halmar Friesen Racing’s Stewart Friesen was third after logging a 30.58-second lap at 176.585 mph.Â
Kyle Busch was fourth in the No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet. Tyler Ankrum was fifth.Â
Ty Majeski, Zane Smith, Nicholas Sanchez, Daniel Dye and Grant Enfinger completed the top 10.
The Truck Series field will take the green flag on Friday night at 9 p.m. (ET).Â
