BRISTOL, Tenn. — Joey Logano turned the fastest lap during the second and final practice session for the Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt Friday night at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Logano’s best lap of 19.779 seconds aboard the No. 54 Ford was more than a half second slower than the quick lap of the first session turned in by Stewart Friesen at 19.369 seconds.
Toyota driver Ben Rhodes was second on the speed charts, with his ThorSport teammate, Matt Crafton, third.
Reigning USAC National Midget champion Buddy Kofoid jumped into the top five as he prepares for his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start aboard the Kyle Busch Motorsports No. 51 Toyota in fourth, while Chase Elliott was fifth in the Spire Motorsports Chevrolet.
Friesen ran only three laps during the session on a track that took rubber and slowed down significantly from the first session.
