Carson Kvapil will chase a NASCAR Xfinity Series championship next season with JR Motorsports.
Kvapil, a current late model stock car driver for JRM in the CARS Tour, was named the full-time driver of the No. 1 Chevrolet on Tuesday afternoon via the team’s social media. Bass Pro Shops will be Kvapil’s primary sponsor.Â

In eight starts this season aboard the No. 88 Chevrolet, Kvapil has a best finish of second at Dover (Del.) Motor Speedway. The 21-year-old has bagged four top-10 finishes.Â
Sam Mayer, who’s piloted the No. 1 Chevrolet for the last three seasons, was named a driver of Haas Factory Team for the 2025 season in August alongside Sheldon Creed.Â
Kvapil’s father, Travis Kvapil, won the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship in 2003 and competed in the Cup Series for 11 seasons.Â
