CONCORD, N.C. – The University of Northwestern Ohio announced Friday at Charlotte Motor Speedway that the school has extended its sponsorship agreement of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event held at Kentucky Speedway.

UNOH will remain as title sponsor of the UNOH 225 through 2015 at the 1.5-mile asphalt oval. The event is scheduled for June 27, 2013.

“We’re excited about extending our relationship with Kentucky Speedway,” said UNOH President Dr. Jeffrey A Jarvis. “Everyone at Kentucky Speedway and SMI have been so gracious and works hard to help us out, help our students out and our faculty and staff. It is just natural to continue the relationship.”

Founded in 1920, UNOH is a private, not-for-profit university that also owns Limaland Motorsports Park. The university is also the only university in the country that offers scholarships for motorsports.

“Not only has it been a great sponsorship for us, but an enjoyable one as well,” said Kentucky Speedway General Manager Mark Simendinger. “We’re proud of what we’ve been able to do to bring awareness to the University of Northwestern Ohio and their great programs.”
