MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Wauters Motorsports announced today that they have teamed with Jason Bowles and Valvoline Premium Blue for the inaugural running of the Mudsummer Classic at Eldora Speedway – the first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on dirt – on Wednesday.
“This is a really exciting opportunity to be able to run the first Camping World Truck race at Eldora Speedway,” said Bowles, who will pilot the No. 5 Valvoline Premium Blue Chevrolet Silverado. “I’m grateful for Valvoline partnering with us. I can’t thank Richie and all the guys at Wauters Motorsports enough for their hard work in putting this together. I am looking forward to Wednesday night.”
Bowles finished 13th in the 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series point standings and, this season, became a test driver for Michael Waltrip Racing. He practiced and qualified MWR’s No. 55 entry in June at Sonoma Raceway. He is a champion and 10-time race winner in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West division.
“Valvoline Premium Blue is excited to be a sponsor of the No. 5 Wauters Motorsports Chevrolet with driver Jason Bowles in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series,” said John Noal, vice president of commercial and industrial at Valvoline. “This is a great opportunity to showcase our Premium Blue motor oil which is ‘The Only One’ motor oil endorsed by Cummins, the world’s largest independent engine manufacturer. It can help extend drain intervals and provides superior protection to your truck.”
“We are really excited to have Jason driving for us at Eldora,” said team owner Richie Wauters. “We look forward to an exciting event and hope to put on a show for Valvoline and our associate partners.”
