We are proud to announce @corey_day_ will drive a https://t.co/OdrQ85uamk Chevrolet for @RacePRG in three ARCA races, beginning with his series debut at Salem Speedway this Saturday. pic.twitter.com/E59byvpzgG
The 18-year-old sprint car phenom, who competes full time with Kyle Larson and Brad Sweet’s High Limit Racing series, will compete in the No. 28 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet.
While the California native’s roots are on dirt, it won’t be his first time on pavement. He debuted in JR Motorsports’ late model stock car in April at North Carolina’s Hickory Speedway where he finished seventh. Day led every lap in his next start at Hickory to win the 40-lap feature.Â
Aside from Salem, Day’s other two starts have not been announced.Â
