The wet conditions in MotoGP’s Argentina Grand Prix wouldn’t slow down Mooney VR46 Racing Team’s Marco Bezzecchi, as he’d score his maiden victory in the series on Sunday.
Bezzecchi, racing for legendary rider Valentino Rossi, dominated the GP at Rio Hondo in his second season of competition.Â
Shooting from second on the grid on the initial start, Bezzecchi went untouched in the 25-lap event, leading a Ducati podium with Johann Zarco and polesitter Alex Marquez.Â
The win puts Bezzecchi at the top of the points standings after last week’s season opening winner Francesco Bagnaia crashed while battling for the second position.Â
The reigning champion would re-join the field after crashing, but wouldn’t score points after finishing 16th.Â
