Enea Bastianini notched his first career MotoGP victory since last Stepember in Sunday’s Malaysian Grand Prix.
While Bastianini surged out front, his Ducati teammate Francesco Bagnaia extended his points gap on title rival Jorge Martin with a third-place effort. Martin ran fourth in the race.
After swiping the lead away on the initial start from third at the Sepang International Circuit, Bastianini romped to his fifth MotoGP win.
Marc Marquez held on to the runner-up spot after winning Saturday’s sprint event.
Bagnaia’s points lead over Martin vaulted to 14 markers with only two races remaining.
