INDIANAPOLIS – G&G Racing officials have announced a continuation of its partnership with Yamaha Racing ahead of the upcoming Progressive American Flat Track championship season.
In just the most recent three seasons, with Cory Texter as pilot, G&G Racing/Yamaha Racing has claimed two AFT Production Twins championships and 14 victories among its 27 podium finishes.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Yamaha Racing,” said team owner L.J. Gronek. “We could not have accomplished all we have without their help. The Yamaha MT-07 is a phenomenal platform, works great, and has great power and delivery. Yamaha has created an awesome production motor that works great for flat track. We look forward to continuing to show what the Yamaha is capable of.”
Including its previous success in the premier class with J.D. Beach, Mikey Rush, and Chad Cose at the controls, the team has collected a combined 29 podiums, 36 top fives and 50 top 10s during its six-year partnership with Yamaha.
“Yamaha is excited to continue its support of G&G Racing in the American Flat Track series,” said Jim Roach, Yamaha Racing Department Manager. “The G&G team has had a large amount of success over the years, and have won the AFT Production Twins championship, with Cory Texter, two of the last three years. Yamaha looks forward to the continued success in 2022.”
