The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna team confirmed on Friday afternoon that Malcolm Stewart will miss Saturday’s Monster Energy AMA Supercross round at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., due to injury.
Stewart suffered a crash during practice this week, but the team did not disclose details of the injury in their Instagram announcement.
“Details to follow as Malcolm Stewart undergoes further evaluation,” the team stated.
It has been a rough start to the season for the No. 27 Husqvarna rider, as he’s experienced minor crashes at the first two Supercross rounds. So far, he has logged a best finish of 15th at the latest race in San Diego, Calif.
