Honda HRC’s Chase Sexton earned his 14th fast qualifier award of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross season on Saturday afternoon.
The No. 23 rider turned a fast lap of 46.874 seconds inside Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah, launching him to the top of the timesheets. H.E.P. Motorsports’ Ken Roczen was his closest challenger, logging a 46.958-second lap on his No. 94 Suzuki.
Fire Power Honda’s Dean Wilson qualified third. Team Tedder’s Justin Hill was fourth, while Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo was fifth. Josh Hill, Aaron Plessinger, Shane McElrath, Grant Harlan and Kyle Chisolm completed the top 10.
250SX West Qualifying Results
The 250SX West champion Jett Lawrence slowly made his way up the leaderboard during Saturday’s second qualifying session. His fast lap of 47.052 seconds was enough to keep Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s R.J. Hampshire at bay in second.
Levi Kitchen qualified third, Enzo Lopes was fourth and Mitchell Oldenburg was fifth.
250SX East Qualifying Results
Hunter Lawrence had the fastest overall lap of the 250SX class, filing a 46.572-second lap time during the 250SX East qualifying session. Star Racing Yamaha’s Jordon Smith qualified second with a 46.593-second lap time.
Jo Shimoda, Jeremy Martin and Haiden Deegan completed the top five.
