Cameron McAdoo sustained a shoulder injury during a crash in practice on Monday, forcing him to sit out the upcoming Monster Energy AMA Supercross round at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
The Monster Energy Kawasaki team confirmed the injury over Instagram on Tuesday.
McAdoo is currently third in the 250SX West standings — Jett Lawrence leads, while R.J. Hampshire is second. McAdoo has earned four third-place finishes and one sixth-place result so far this season.
He has yet to announce a return date to the series.
Notably, this is not the 25-year-old’s first injury this season. He also suffered a significant arm injury in a crash during practice at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., on Jan. 28. Despite the setbacks, the No. 48 rider has still lined up at every race this year, until now.
McAdoo will join teammates and fellow 250SX riders Austin Forkner, Jo Shimoda and Seth Hammaker on the sidelines. The latter three are also recovering from injuries.
