ClubMX rider Jeremy Martin was diagnosed with a concussion following a crash during the 250SX East opening round at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich., on Feb. 4.
The 30-year-old took a hard hit in the whoop section during the first heat race of the night and was unable to continue racing. After struggling to stand under his own power, Martin was transported off the track by the Alpinestars medical crew.
On Monday, ClubMX released a statement, writing, “Jeremy (Martin) had a mild concussion but bounced back pretty quickly. He is going to take a short break, follow the protocols we have and be ready for Arlington.”
The No. 6 Yamaha rider will not miss any 250SX East races, as Saturday is a 250SX West round in Glendale, Ariz. The next 250SX East race will be at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Feb. 24.
