Haiden Deegan will make his professional debut in the 250cc class of Monster Energy AMA Supercross this weekend at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
The 17-year-old is the son of legendary action-sports athlete Brian Deegan and the brother of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Hailie Deegan.
Star Racing Yamaha made the announcement of his debut on Twitter on Thursday morning.

This news comes one week after Deegan participated in the opening race of the Supercross Futures program, which resumed this year as a way to give young riders stadium experience and a path to professional racing. He finished ninth after a late-race crash. Deegan plans to appear at the three additional Futures races scheduled this season in order to vie for the Supercross Futures AMA National Championship.
This weekend in Houston, Deegan will be joined by Justin Cooper, Nate Thrasher and Jordon Smith under the Star Racing Yamaha banner.
Cooper is making his 450SX debut, while Thrasher and Smith are set to contest the 250SX East Championship.
