Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo will sit out today’s Monster Energy AMA Supercross race at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, due to an aggravated wrist injury.
The Monster Energy Kawasaki team confirmed the news via Twitter on Saturday morning, adding that the injury was affected during a riding session on Friday.
Cianciarulo has earned three top-10 results in the opening six rounds of the season, most recently finishing 15th last weekend at RingCentral Coliseum in Oakland, Calif., on Feb. 18.
The Team Green rider has experienced a string of bad luck in his four-year 450SX career, most recently including a season-ending knee injury last January and an ongoing nerve issue that causes numbness in his hands. At this time, he is only scheduled to miss one round, but the team plans to give further updates as they become available.
