The series features approximately 70-percent vintage motorcycles and 30-percent modern bikes competing in up to 42 different classes. All classes are based on original racing classes from the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s, as well as a pre-1940s class featuring hand-shifted motorcycles.
The popular AFM series will headline the weekend with more than 200 riders competing in a wide range of categories – from novice to expert. Classes include Production, Superbike and Formula, with the best and quickest riders competing head to head in the premier AFM Formula Pacific Challenge. The weekend will feature practice and qualifying on Saturday, with main events slated for Sunday.
The weekend will also feature Supermoto USA at the Sonoma Raceway Karting Center with racing slated for Saturday-Sunday, including an Unlimited Pro contest on Saturday afternoon. Race fans will be treated to action-packed racing on the three-quarter mile, 16-turn track, which is a combination of asphalt and dirt. It’s one of the most challenging tracks on the Supermoto USA circuit.
Riders can enjoy a scenic group ride from the track on Saturday, May 4, with the RKA/Sonoma Raceway Wine Country Ride. The ride, which will be organized by RKA, will include a scenic cruise through the Sonoma Valley and a stop for lunch before concluding back at the raceway.
