ISLE OF MAN – Former British Superbike Championship team Splitlath Redmond Racing has confirmed that it will be contesting the 2013 Isle of Man TT Races, fueled by Monster Energy, with an International line up comprising American Mark Miller and Cheung Wai On, the first ethnic Chinese rider to compete on the TT Mountain Course.
It will be the third year the team, owned jointly by John Dimbylow and former Olympic athlete Derek Redmond, has competed on the Island with Miller riding for them every time. The 38-year old has picked up two bronze replicas on the Italian Aprilia machines to date, lapping in excess of 121mph, and will be looking to make further progress this time around.
Californian Miller, who is the fastest American in the history of the event with a lap of 125.507mph, has become a formidable competitor since his debut in 2006, picking up 17 replicas in total and taking victory in the 2010 TT Zero Race. He lines up in the Dainese Superbike, Royal London 360° Superstock and Pokerstars Senior TT Races.
Miller’s team-mate will be Chinese rider Wai On who will make his TT debut for the team, contesting the 1000cc classes on another RSV-4 Aprilia machine and the 3-lap Lightweight TT Race on an ER6 Kawasaki.
